But when you've got Walnut planes to counter your hue, the scales can tip in your favor...
This set of stacked-lowboy and highboy dressers, implements a contrast of "plastic" and "organic" materials that runs through much of my work. For example, the solid pigmented varnish against the French Walnut tops and Wenge edging. The 2 pieces are modular, so they can stand by themselves or together. For example, the stacked asymetrical dresser can have its high side go right into a corner of the room. The low level can also double as a bench, for those of us needing some extra help putting on our shoes in the morning.
Drawers are dovetailed Maple boxes with full extension undermount glides with "soft-close" feature. Knobs are brushed stainless and leather-wrapped pulls.
We've also made these with an "Armoire" module instead of the Highboy.
